Video - The Mysterious Michigan Triangle: Vanishing Without a Trace
The Michigan Triangle Duration: 45-60 seconds June 23, 1950: Northwest Airlines Flight 2501 disappeared over Lake Michigan with 58 people aboard. It's just one of dozens of ships and planes that have vanished in an area known as the "Michigan Triangle" β a region of Lake Michigan from Ludington to Benton Harbor to Manitowoc. In 1891, the schooner Thomas Hume and its seven crew members disappeared without a trace β not even wreckage was found. In 1921, the Rosa Belle was discovered floating upside down, its entire crew missing. In 1937, Captain George Donner vanished from his locked cabin on the O.M. McFarland while the boat was in motion. His cabin was empty when the crew broke down the door. What force could cause dozens of disappearances in these waters? Some blame magnetic anomalies, underwater caves, or methane gas bubbles. Others believe something more supernatural is at work.
