Part 4 of the story "The Whispering Lantern" Olivia, the young owl, watched helplessly as the Whisper Tree continued to crack. The lantern suddenly floated into the air. Its light surrounded Olivia's wings. Then the tiny creatures all spoke together. "Only one memory of pure kindness can heal the tree." Olivia closed her eyes. She remembered the day she had rescued a frightened baby bird during a terrible storm. The lantern shined brighter than ever. A warm golden light flew from Olivia's heart toward the crystal tree.
