Its tiny body trembled, scratched and stuck. Kiki’s heart ached. “Hold on!” she whispered. Carefully, she climbed down, her nimble fingers dancing among the thorns. With a gentle touch, she pulled the sharp branches aside, freeing the frightened cheetah. It stood, nuzzling Kiki gratefully. “Thank you!” it purred before bounding off to join its family. Kiki smiled, feeling warmth bloom in her heart—she had made a friend.
