Kiki the baby chimp swung through the trees, her heart racing with excitement. Suddenly, a frightened bleat pierced the air. She darted toward the sound and gasped—there, trapped in quicksand, was a baby giraffe! “Hold on!” Kiki shouted, spotting a long branch nearby. She grabbed it and stretched it toward the giraffe. “Grab on!” The giraffe hesitated, then bit the branch. Kiki pulled with all her might, but it was too heavy. Just then, a herd of elephants thundered in. Together, they tugged, and with a final heave, the giraffe was free! “Thank you!” it nuzzled Kiki, and they cheered together.
